These are the people behind the WollCraft Festival:
Margit Hofmann with her label Alte Künste Alte Künste, and Heike Diehl alias Frau Wöllfchen.
The two met years ago when they were booth neighbors at a yarn festival. Since then, they have been together at yarn festivals, are working on joint projects and have also organized a few events together. So the next step to a great yarn festival in their adopted home town was only logical.
The two hand dyers have specialized in very different aspects of dyeing:
Margit has been a full-time botanical dyer since 2011. She attaches great importance to the lightfastness of her colors. Before she became a botanical dyer, she organized large events for many years.
Heike, on the other hand, has been dyeing spinning-fibers and yarn commercially with acid dyes since 2016. She has been dyeing full-time since 2020. Heike also has 14 years of experience in event catering.
What they have in common is a love of bright colors and special yarns.
Both are looking forward to making Wollcraft Festival 2025 a faboulous event with you!
